I'll say it again. The hardest part of living so far from "home" is missing out on seeing family and friends. Especially when we miss out on celebrating birthdays and holidays. My mom turned 75 this year. I missed out on my 3 siblings flying down to surprise my mom for her milestone birthday in January!! Happy (belated) Birthday Mom. I wasn't really doing so great with the blog back then.
