Josie and Bryn

Because of Thanksgiving and vacations Josie and Bryn hadn't seen each other for almost 2 weeks. Normally, they see each other 3-4 days a week so 2 weeks felt like forever. During the time they were apart, Josie kept mentioning Bryn ("Bryn is a nice friend") Everytime I drove anywhere she would point which way I should go... which was always in the direction of Bryn's house and then be upset when I turned the wrong way. She went poop in the toilet for the first time and we were all excited and then she said "I'll tell Bryn all about it." Needless to say, Josie was quite excited when Bryn came to our house to play all day last Thursday.

After some play dough time, we loaded up and went to Seattle Center. They were mesmerized by the winter train display in The Center House and then they ran around the Children's Museum for a couple of hours.

Josie loves to play "ringa ringa rosey" with anyone who is willing. Bryn happens to be her suspect for today. Poor Bryn. I don't think she was quite ready for Josie.

Bryn and Josie speak the same language.... Not sure what language it is because it isn't English, German or Spanish but somehow they understand each other.

Josie had a great time playing with her good friend, Bryn. Several times throughout the day Josie gave Bryn big spontaneous bear hugs. It is so nice to have such good friends :)

"Ringa Ringa Rosey"

I know we shouldn't have ever let her start jumping on the bed... now that is all she wants to do.

Victoria

Last weekend we took the Victoria Clipper up to Canada and spent the weekend with some friends touring around Victoria.

One of the highlights was a visit to The Bug Zoo. Who knows what got into us but we all touched and held the various spiders there - hairy tarantulas, slithering millipedes, cold scorpions, skinny stick bugs and more. You can't tell from the photos but they were all very much ALIVE!

We also took in our first Holiday parade of the season and visited the National Museum of History and Art. Overall, a great time in Canada.
Josie being oh, so Josie. You never have to wonder what she wants:

40th birthday

Well, as much as I didn't want to acknowledge or admit it, my 40th birthday has come and gone and it wasn't nearly as painful as I had thought it would be. The anticipation of it was much worse than the actual day. As a matter a fact, the actual day was very, very nice. Marty organized a party at one of our favorite bars/restaurants and we had a great night with friends.

Little Monkey

Josie has been really into climbing lately -thus the nickname "little monkey." She climbs on rocks, on stairs, on and almost out of her crib and up ladders and rock walls at the park. Here are a few videos of her having fun at the park. Notice she has graduated to the big kid swings!!

Mr. Potato Head

Last week we went to the Children's Museum with Josie's good friend, Bryn. They had fun making Mr. Potato Heads, sitting on Arthur's bed and just monkeying around together.

Here's a recent family picture. Marty and I were dressed up for an auction that he had to MC.

One of Josie's newest things is to lay down in the bathtub. It is kind of like floating with all of your toys swimming around your hea

Happy Halloween!

Josie had a great time trick or treating up at stores at the Admiral Junction.

She wasn't so sure at first about all the costumes, but slowly warmed up to the idea.
Her favorite:"Gucci" the devilish bulldog.
This is Josie on a post Halloween sugar high!
