Box Saga Continues

For those of you interested in our shipping box saga it continues. Been on the phone off and on all day with Howard who promises to call right back (never does) promises to send our final bill and address so we can actually pick our stuff up in Berlin (never does) promises to get our forms to the shipping company in San Francisco (never...) you get the point.
I cannot believe how incredibly inept this man is.  We all think he might be mentally ill.  Which I do feel badly about but he should get help and not be in the shipping business or ANY business for that matter.
Yesterday Marty called the shipping company actually doing the shipping and we felt so assured because they told us all 13 boxes were already in San Francisco and ready to go.  They were just waiting on a form from... yep, Howard.
I finally talk with Howard he assures me that SF office has all the forms they need and he will send us the final bill with address in Berlin. Two hours go by. I'm busy with a lot of other things because, you know, I'm moving my family half way around the world and we board a plan TOMORROW! But nonetheless I think I should probably call the SF shipping company just to make sure we are all set to go.  Lo and behold they do not have the forms they need.  They have been trying to reach Howard all day with no luck. They have a very limited window (until 8PM tonight) to get everything in order or it will not ship.
I call Howard back and really let go.  I mean what the holy hell!? Why does he tell me these complete lies?  Obviously he does not get paid until our stuff ships.  What is his motive?  Other than complete mental illness, incompetence, laziness?  We just aren't sure.  So it is 2PM now.  We  (Howard) have/has  6 hours to get everything in order or our stuff doesn't ship.  Then I don't know what happens as we will already be enroute to Germany ourselves.  Deep breaths.  Deep Breaths.  We actually are having quite a good time making fun of him.  Marty's phone rang and Marty says "Oh, it's Kevin" and Benjamin pipes up and says "Well, maybe it's Howard pretending to be Kevin!"  haha.  Will keep you posted.  In the end it is just stuff anyway, right??  GAH!!
Update: Thursday @ 4:30.  Received calls from both Howard and shipping company saying everything is in order.  We got the final bill.  Paid with a credit card (so we are covered if anything falls through) and by all accounts our boxes should leave SF headed for Luxembourg  on a flight tonight at 8PM where they will overnight or two and then arrive in Berlin by Monday.  Still a touch doubtful.  We shall see.
