Sleepover, Snow and Soccer

Friday night the kids had a sleepover at our house with new friends Suzy and Leopold.  We met at Benjamin's Lacrosse practice and then headed home.
They were very fun to have over and it is so nice to find a family that has similar aged children and the 4 of them play so nicely together.
They started to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang after dinner but it is such a long movie that we decided to watch the rest of the movie after breakfast on Saturday morning.
As they watched the movie the first snow of the season fell.  It was soft and slow and beautiful.

Leopold's mom, Katy, is a teacher at JFK and asked around to see if there was room on Leopold's soccer team for Benjamin... and there was!!  After watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, enjoying the snow fall and making a few snowballs we all head to Benjamin's first soccer practice.  Indoor, of course.
He LOVES it.  He is hot and sweaty and worn out.  Perfect! The following week they even dig up a couple of extra uniforms for Benjamin and Leopold.
Katy took Josie and Suzy out for hot chocolate while the boys practice and on our walk home we stop at the store and Benjamin and Josie play in the teeny tiny bit of remaining snow.
