Denny Creek with The Kitcheners

On a beautiful, warm, late August day we joined the Kitcheners for a hike up to Denny Creek.  Marty had a huge project and couldn't join so we all piled in their car and headed up together.
The kids did great and hiked nearly the entire way.  At the very end on the way down, Benjamin asked to be carried.  Easier said than done these days when Marty is not around.  Benjamin is nearly half my weight now and way more than half my height.  We all managed it up and down and had a great time.
Benjamin and Charlie.  When they aren't fighting and trying to kill each other they have a fantastic time together.  Above, hiking up the trail and below, building a damn to stop the creek... they would have been there all day if they didn't keep falling on the slippery rocks.

Will and Josie working up the courage to ride down the slippery rocks on their bums.

Benjamin, her own personal cheering squad.

Chris gets extra points for carrying my pack but especially for taking Benjamin into the woods to poop.  Thank you!!!!! If you look closely you can see the bag of poop that he also carried out of the woods.
