Lake Washington

My good friend, Siri, and her family moved from West Seattle up to Lake Forest Park and although we miss them greatly it was a fun treat to go visit them in their new home that they share with an empty nester.  They live in a large house with large yard that has a creek that runs through in their back yard.  The kids had fun helping Caetano find and capture some kind of special flying insect.

Their house is part of a small community that has access to the Sheridan Beach Community Club with a pool, playground, and access to the Lake Washington.  Even though it was only 25-30 minutes north it was like going on a mini vacation.
After lunch and backyard/creek time we loaded up the wagon and headed to the lake.

We went to Mexico last February with Siri and family so Benjamin and Sabina have a lot of practice playing in the pool together.
Caetano had to go to soccer practice so these three played on the beach for hours digging and building sand castles.

Taking a break for a popsicle.
Josie took turns taking Benjamin and Sabina out in the raft.

When Hideki got home from work he helped the kids fish off the end of the dock.  It was Benjamin and Josie's first time fishing and Josie definitely had first timers luck. She probably caught 6 fish in a matter of minutes.  She was thrilled
 Happy girl with her fish.

In total there were probably 8 fish before we decided to let them go.

Caetano putting them back in the water to swim away.

End of summer fun with great friends :)  I wished they still lived in West Seattle but Sheridan Beach Club isn't so bad either.
