This year was a bit different and I'd say a bit better. It was our first day of rain since we arrived so it felt a bit like Seattle too.
We took the bus to the downtown area of Zehlendorf and met Julie at H&M. Josie was the client with two personal shoppers and she loved it.
Same looking store as our American TJ Maxx but for some reason it has a K instead of a J.
We find a couple more shirts and a pair of shoes here and then Marty and Benjamin biked up from the house to meet us. It was a family affair!
Really, Benjamin heard that we were headed back to that shopping mall in Steglitz that has his favorite new "German" food (AKA - Indian Food) so he thought he should tag along. We head back to the S Bahn (above ground train) and arrive at Das Schloss.
This is now our 4th time at this shopping mall in less than 2 weeks. And the 4th time the kids have eaten at the food court and LOVED it. Benjamin couldn't stop stuffing his face long enough to look up at me while giving me a thumbs up. And this time, for the first time in 4 times, we splurge for ice cream.
The only thing Josie has left to get is a back pack. She is quite picky and knows what she likes (and doesn't like) right when she sees it which makes shopping with her more and less difficult at the same time. We head to 3 different sporting types stores and on the third one we are successful and amazingly it was the cheapest (by far) of all of the ones she looked at.
What is better than my girl at the end of our back to school shopping with her new back pack and a German castle in the background. Watch out JFK, here she comes!!
