yada yada... I didn't really listen when he told me how it all worked I was just thankful to finally have a bit of heat but by 10 AM we had the heat off and the windows wide open to let the warm, fresh air flow in. It was probably mid 70's and lovely.
We did a bunch of house stuff, biked to our favorite Asian place (AGAIN!) for lunch and then I ran to the grocery store. We had a lunch date on Sunday and it still is a pain and takes some planning with all the stores being closed on Sundays.
Marty and Josie took Mogli back to Grunewaldsee for another lovely day at the lake. Benjamin had a friend come over for the afternoon and I made a veggie lasagna to bring to our Sunday lunch.
Sunday turned out to be an even warmer day. 77 degrees and full on summer like warmth!! I know this will be the last of the season so we soaked it up in our friends lovely patio eating a scrumptious lunch. They are from Argentina and have an authentic Argentinian BBQ (parrilla) shipped from home. We don't eat meat much but Benjamin and I are in heaven when we go over because it is seriously some of the tastiest meat I've ever had. Even Marty, the lazy vegetarian partakes a bit. Josie is still going strong and on her fourth year of no meat.
They have a gorgeous back patio and back garden where the dogs can play. They have a 5 month old hunting dog named Aki who has become fast friends with Mogli. The dogs run crazy while we eat, drink and talk. They have a son Benjamin's age and two girls on either side of Josie. Such a nice, lazy, relaxing Sunday.
The veggie lasagna ready to go in the oven I found this great recipe. Followed in mostly but added a couple of raw eggs and some parmesan to the cottage cheese mixture. https://cookieandkate.com/best-vegetable-lasagna-recipe/ |
