Happy Birthday, Julie!

On Saturday we had a pretty chill day.  The kids and Marty rode out to the border between Berlin and Brandenburg which is very close to our house because there is a piece of the Berlin wall still there along with a ditch that was likely dug before the wall was built.
Then Marty went on our Saturday day date - just a walk into town to return the flavored quark container to the guy at the Saturday Market and to the produce stand to get a few pieces of fruit.  Later in the afternoon we celebrated Julie's birthday with some freshly made zucchini cake (I'm nearly through all of the zucchini that Julie and her family had given me - yay) and other traditional German cakes along with her family.  Very fun to celebrate such a fun, loving, special person.
